Here are 4 excellent games you can do with your boot camp class that are fun and competitive at the same time making sure for a great workout.
Game 1 – Over/Under – 0:05
Game 2 – Plank Rolls – 0:50
Game 3 – Slalom Race – 1:22
Game 4 – Tag – 2:05
Game 1 is over/under where your team line up in a half squat and have to be the first to reach a certain distance. The person at the front holds a med ball and passes it over or under to the teammate behind them. Each person does the opposite movement, then the person at the back runs to the front and repeat. This is one of the most competitive games.
Game 2 is plank rolls which is similar to game 1 only you are in a hand plank the whole time. 1 arm is used to roll to the next teammate then they pick up the ball and run to the front. If doing the bootcamp on a hard surface then its advised to wear gloves.
Game 3 is a simple slalom race where each team member runs to each cone and back before the next person runs. If the teams are more than 4 people then I recommend each person running to cone 1 before all doing 2 etc.
Game 4 is tag which I generally do at the end of a bootcamp. All players have a bid tucked into the back of their shorts and 1 person has a time limit to grab them all. I set a small area to work in so everyone has to keep moving round the whole time.
